Chandigarh Summers: Sacred Garlic Pear

Size: 20 X 20 inches
Medium: Oil on canvas

A solitary tree erupts in a constellation of white and pale green blossoms against a vibrant cobalt sky, rendered through dense impasto technique that creates a tactile, almost three-dimensional surface. The artist employs vigorous, gestural marks—thousands of individual paint strokes that suggest both the ephemeral quality of blooming flowers and the enduring strength of the dark trunk below. The interplay between the luminous center and the deepening blue periphery creates a radiant, meditative quality that celebrates nature’s cyclical renewal.
