Blue Tree

Size: 54 X 60 inches
Medium: Oil on canvas

This richly textured landscape celebrates the splendor of flowering trees through dramatically applied impasto technique, where thick, sculptural paint creates almost three-dimensional foliage. The brilliant cobalt and cerulean blues of the dominant tree canopy contrast magnificently against warm ochre and amber grounds, while touches of lavender-pink and verdant green add chromatic complexity. The heavily worked surface captures light dynamically, transforming botanical subject matter into an expressionist meditation on color, texture, and the rhythmic poetry of nature.
