Sidharth is a distinguished contemporary Indian artist born in Punjab in 1956. Influenced deeply by his mother, he developed an early spiritual connection with nature and the divine. He began his artistic journey by painting signboards during his school years before learning the traditional craft of creating murals and friezes from local master craftsmen. Driven by a deep interest in spiritual traditions, he spent years studying Buddhism and mastered the intricate, formal techniques of Thangka painting from Tibetan monks. Later, he traveled to Sweden to observe Western artistic traditions by studying church frescoes, stained glass windows, and museum collections. He eventually formalized his training with a five-year diploma in painting from the College of Art, Chandigarh.
Sidharth is widely celebrated for his unique ability to translate sacred verses into visual poetry, most notably seen in his famous "Mool Mantra" series. His artwork blends organic forms, layered textures, and soft glows to mirror the eternal vibrations of spiritual consciousness. His highly regarded creations are held in prestigious collections globally, including the Indian Government Museum, the Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi, the British Council, and the Düsseldorf Museum, alongside numerous private and diplomatic collections across the world.
