Purvi Parmar is a talented contemporary Indian artist who specializes in painting and printmaking. Born in Gujarat in 1988, she completed her diploma in painting in Ahmedabad in 2008. To further develop her technical skills, she earned a post-diploma in printmaking from Baroda in 2013.
Parmar's creative talent has been widely recognized through several solo exhibitions, including her prominent "Optimistic Surroundings" series, which was showcased in Jaipur and Ahmedabad. She has also been a frequent contributor to major group exhibitions and art camps across India, displaying her work in prestigious spaces like the Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai, the National Exhibition of Art in New Delhi, and various regional centers in Goa and Lucknow.
Her dedication to her craft has won her numerous highly respected accolades. She received back-to-back printmaking awards at the State Lalit Kala Academy in Ahmedabad, along with multiple honors for drawing and printmaking from AIFACS in New Delhi. Additionally, she was granted a junior scholarship by the State Lalit Kala Academy to support her artistic journey. Parmar continues to create and base her professional practice out of Ahmedabad.
