Urban Pichwai (Radha & Krishna)

Size: 16 X 20 inches (each)
Medium: Mixed Media on canvas

This diptych presents sacred Hindu iconography within a dense tapestry of botanical and architectural elements. The left panel depicts Krishna with his peacock feather crown and flute, while the right portrays Radha in tender embrace, both figures floating against a mosaic-like urban backdrop interwoven with lotus flowers and verdant leaves. The artist employs a distinctive vocabulary merging traditional devotional imagery with contemporary mixed-media layering, achieving a harmonious balance between spiritual reverence and urban complexity through a refined palette of teals, ochres, and silver-grays.
