About Mrinal Airy
Mrinal Airy, born on January 29, 1975, in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, is an Indian artist known for his hyper realistic paintings. His artwork is remarkable for its photographic quality, making it difficult to distinguish between his paintings and real-life objects or beings. His ability to capture minute details on canvas gives viewers the impression that the subjects are jumping off the surface, similar to images captured by a camera.
Mrinal draws inspiration from his father and elder brother, who have motivated him throughout his life to overcome challenges. He holds a Master of Arts degree and has dedicated himself to refining his unique artistic style, which has earned him several awards and recognitions over the years.
His journey as an artist includes several solo exhibitions, mostly held at the Airy Art Gallery in Bilaspur between 2003 and 2007, along with other shows at Nehru Art Gallery, Bhilai. Mrinal has also participated in numerous group exhibitions across India. These include shows at prestigious venues such as AIFACS (All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society) in New Delhi, the Orissa Modern Art Gallery in Bhubaneswar, and the Chawla Art Gallery in New Delhi. His works are part of private collections in the USA, Dubai, and Indian galleries like Artoholics and Chawla Art Gallery in New Delhi.
Throughout his career, Mrinal has received several awards, including the Excellency Award and Merit Excellence Award at the Tri-State Art Exhibitions held at the Airy Art Gallery, Bilaspur, in 2005 and 2006. His dedication to art is reflected not only in the awards he has received but also in his consistent participation in exhibitions and events that celebrate creativity.
Mrinal continues to explore the boundaries of hyperrealism with his paintings. His ability to combine artistic skill with photographic precision sets him apart in the Indian art scene. While his work has earned international recognition, Mrinal remains rooted in his passion for painting, consistently inspired by his family and committed to creating lifelike masterpieces that captivate audiences everywhere.
