The Founders
She brings the ink. He brings the art. Together, they connect over artistic musings. Art. Ink. Musings. AIM. When Gurpreet Kaur Jauhar and Munish Jauhar decided to embark on their own ‘artistic’ voyage, AIM came naturally to them. Avid travellers, voracious readers, chroniclers of daily life, it’s their shared love for art and its pursuit that set a plan in motion and laid the foundation for AIM Gallery, a space pulsating with all things art, in 2023.
Armed with a degree in Arts and an expert calligraphist, Gurpreet finds art in everything - from the moving to the mundane, from the living to the stationary. Art, she feels, is not confined to frames or walls or any canvas, rather it can be seen and experienced in everyday encounters, environs, narratives, aesthetics. It’s a million things. It’s a gateway that travels beyond the realm of imagination itself - every little element has art flowing in it and that’s the idea with which AIM was conceived. “To elevate and match our wavelength with that of the universe called art,” is Gurpreet’s perspective.

Entrepreneur, Founder/CEO GrayCell Technologies, Munish Jauhar’s tryst with art happened when he acquired his first serigraph of a work by late legendary artist, MF Hussain in 2008. It instantly opened doors to a new world where he connected with art as a potent tool - of conversation, commentary, change and investment. From here began their journey of appreciating and collecting art. Rare prints, first edition books, sculptures, handmade treasures, vintage photos, record players, bespoke pieces of furniture, a frame here, a picture there - art became their constant companion. Soon, they found themselves enriched with artworks, advising friends and family on art, artists and collections, curating and networking, investing and acquiring art and taste for art. It was time, they felt, to share this wealth of knowledge and expertise, to create a community and vibe that resonates with art.
Art, for Jauhars, is a resplendent reservoir of thought provoking ideas, perceptions, history, heritage and culture. AIM’s endeavour is to explore this reservoir and fill the art void in our lives with not only spectacular exhibitions and dialogue driven displays, but to expand the mind, open it to fresh perspectives, to recalibrate the center and allow art to help us heal and express, emote and create, sensitise and empathise, involve and evolve.
