Divine Union in the Celestial Sky

Size: 11.8 X 15 inches
Medium: Natural colors, original gold on handmade paper

This devotional composition depicts Shiva and Parvati in a tender embrace, surrounded by billowing clouds that frame the divine couple within a luminous mandorla of coral and amber light. The artist employs the refined techniques of traditional Indian miniature painting, with delicate brushwork rendering the figures’ ornate jewelry, flowing garments in saffron and green, and Shiva’s characteristic blue-grey skin. The contrast between the dark storm clouds and the radiant central aura creates a powerful spiritual focal point, emphasizing the transcendent nature of divine love.
