Anjana Devi and Bala Hanuman

Size: 8.3 X 11.7 inches (each)
Medium: Acrylic & pen on canvas

This striking diptych presents two divine figures rendered in a contemporary folk art idiom, each seated in elaborately patterned architectural spaces. The left panel’s pink-skinned deity against lavender contrasts dramatically with the right panel’s darker figure beneath an orange sun on cerulean blue, unified by shared geometric motifs and checkered floors. The artist employs bold color blocking, ornamental detailing in gold and black, and a frontal compositional approach that evokes both temple art and modern graphic design sensibilities.
